Patient Care Associate I

Provides direct patient care appropriate to age, culture, and developmental needs under the direction of the Professional Nurse. Works closely with patients to provide physical assistance with daily living tasks, such as dressing, bathing, feeding, toileting, vital signs, catheter care, answering call lights, assisting with ambulation, turning, and ensuring patient safety. Technical skills may include obtaining 12 lead EKG, setting up respiratory equipment, glucometer monitoring, bladder catheterization and transcribing orders, when indicated.

RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of a nursing assistant program (proof of completion required) or a nursing student after successful completion of their first quarter/semester of nursing school or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Excellent bedside manner and customer service skills. BCLS. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred:
Previous nursing assistant experience, CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), computer skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
